Cattails

I recently stumbled upon an adorable-looking game in development called Cattails (it's made by the same developer who created Untold Tales, a fan-game based on Warrior Cats).
Become a cat! Hunt, fight, explore, and socialize in an expansive open world.
Cattails is an indie game made by a husband-and-wife team.
In Cattails, the player takes the role of a feral cat that roams an expansive open land. The player hunts for food, combats cats from other colonies, and develops valuable relationships. The player can also romance one of many eligible cats and raise a family!
The game looks fantastic and the visuals and NPCs remind me of Harvest Moon. There's a few trailers out, a game blog and there's beta-testing in the fall. The Kickstarter came out today.

Thank you for sharing this! I'll likely give this a shot when it comes out if only for the sake of nostalgia; I played quite a bit of Untold Tales and this game sounds like everything I wanted Untold Tales to be back then. Glad to see Falcon is still making games as well. :)

I got the email for Cattails a while ago. It seems like an awesome game, ill definitely be playing it when it comes out.

Backed this on Kickstarter...it seems promising! I just threw $15 at it.

The Kickstarter campaign was a whopping success and it looks like a ton of progres has been made on the game! The alpha has come out and, judging by the let's-plays I've watched, it already has some great content. The world is beautiful and there's already skills and accessories - along with a really cute tutorial.

I haven't watched any footage although I'm admittedly curious about what the game has to offer. I believe the full game is set to be released in December, so I will patiently wait until then.. :)

Waiting for the December release in order to see if I can get my hands on the game! From what I've seen,
it's well put together, even in it's Alpha state and I'm excited to see how it grows

Oh man, I hardly have words for how good this game is! I bought alpha access for my Let's Play series, and, especially for an alpha game, there's already so much content! The gameplay is really polished, and I haven't actually hit too many imbalances. And from what I've heard, it sounds like Falcon is hard at work with tons of new features for the beta! Definitely a very promising game, and quite fun already.

I have (and love) Untold Tales, and this looks really cool. I'll have to try it out eventually.

Cattails is now officially out on Steam after a successful beta that involved romance, having kits and new colonies and lands (and seasonal festivals)!

- I actually recently got an email about this game coming out on steam and it was the best £10 I've ever spent because it's so dang cute.

It is! I really enjoy foraging, catching butterflies and building relationships with the grumpier cats. It’s the little things that make this game so pleasant.
To everyone: what is your favorite NPC? I’m growing really fond of Arthur, one of the marriageable cats in the Mountain Domain, and his thee’s and thou’s. His dialogue is always so fresh and unique.

Heyyy! I was sifting through old game topics and I found this!
I happen to have Cattails
My brother and sister like to play it, too. But after I finished the main story, it got boring fast, because the build-a-colony controls were kind of confusing and there wasn't really much else to do. Then I got married to Arthur. <3 ...And then I had kittens. Teehee. And in a new update came the daily tasks with rewards, and those are always fun. So is catching way more prey than you know what to do with!

Sadly I've been a bit busy and haven't played lately, but a bit earlier during the winter I played a lot. I like exploring and making friends with the cats. My fave NPC is Doc, he's super chill and nice! ^^
