Cereal Soup - Meerkat/Animal Game! (Released)

Cereal Soup is a meerkat/animal MMO; based on meerkats more than anything. However, don't let that mislead you - other available species range from canine, feline and raptor. It's currently a small (yet growing) community with many excited and bright members around. So join the fun, create a new experience!

The Game + Staff
The concept is similar to that of Feral Heart, but I wouldn't half-heartily want to compare them like that. Why? Because in my opinion Cereal Soup has much more potential, with frequent updates, a dedicated Creator and exceptionally friendly members + staff. Honestly, if I had to pick, I'd pick Cereal Soup over any game any day!

♦Rules are less strict, focusing on the real problems and giving members more space to breathe. Which means...
♦The staff are much more laid back. In fact they are taught to avoid using bans until a last resort. That speaks for itself. They are kind, friendly and helpful - always supporting/assisting new and old members.
♦The game has frequent updates, and the forums are well run...
♦Help boards are visited by staff frequently, which results in faster replies!

It's much better and more beneficial for members and the community overall.

IMPORTANT
Cereal Soup is an animal MMORPG currently up for download along with some other meerkat builder(s). It is in very early stages but the progress made so far is #muchwow #impressive!

GENERAL
*Interact with others in ways you've never done before!
*Collect in-game items to create wearable equipment!
*Submit suggestions, marking masks, and even your own content for serious consideration for the game!


ANIMALS
There are four species (may be more in the future) - raptor, felis, canis and suricata. The availability of these species depends on the account management.

MAPS
There will be many maps, but for now; -
*Ginataan (default) -Bright desert with intense light, lots of rocky outcrops, a tunnel, and a few other secrets!
*Kharcho - A dark tunnel with a totem imbued with magical light. Some say that the path to another world exists inside of it!

COMMUNITY
*Create tribes and become blessed with special in-tribe markings!
*Decorate and design your character with incredible detail! No two characters could look the same!

Question- Why is it called 'Cereal Soup?'

Sorry for the late reply, I didn't seem to receive any notification for it. Also here is a direct quote from the Creator regarding the particularly unique choice of name:

When I was making the game, I was talking to a few friends of mine and somehow we ended up talking about whether or not cereal was a soup. And it's a feeling I haven't had, even for months and months trying to think up of a name; the words 'cereal' and 'soup' just clicked and gave me this intense feeling of enlightenment that I absolutely had to make it the name.

In the end, the name doesn't really matter. The reputation it will have from its members will make it great and hopefully bring the same feeling of belonging to everyone who plays (the names of all the maps are also named after soups for good measure).

I've decided to go and download the game's demo (the latest one).
For some reason, even though I choose to have a large meerkat, I still have an ant-sized one.
Is it just the map I spawned in? Or is it just a glitch?

It's been a while since I tried it, but when I did it was... clearly in the early development stages. I don't remember much, though I do recall that it didn't save my character and the voice picking option, though kinda neat, blew my ears out. It could have some potential, but I wasn't impressed by either the wonky gameplay or the odd looking models. Maybe I'll play it again someday to see if it's become more my kind of thing.

So much has changed over the months, a lot of new updates!

Aw, I loved this game when I first played it ;v; . Of course one of the updates weren't compatible with my old PC, so after a while I had to stop playing it.

When I last played, there was the 'no skull needed' thing going on. There was a glitch with one of the worlds where no one was able to get to the skulls in the world, it just lead to a forever loading on a blue screen, so no one could unlock the wanted species(which were at the time, canis and felis), so there was a code that was needed to unlock the species in the menu. I'm pretty sure it's been fixed tho. :') good times. Still remember the code as well Cx

I remember discovering this game last summer. It was a very fun game! I loved the customization features, all the emotes, and the flavourful, RP-based community. I'm inspired to check up on the game's progress again! There are a lot of cool things in store for this game, so I've heard.
