I saw the large amounts of attention this game was getting so I tried it out for myself, and I had to say it was extremely disappointing.
Thinking it was going to get better, I continued through with it but never found the thrill I guess I was looking for.
Alas. I suppose faceless, inflatable advertising man that reminds me greatly of said dancing balloon men that companies put outside their doors chasing me wasn't enough.
[ EDIT ] BTW that's just me throwing in my 2ยข. I'm not trying to force an opinion on anyone so don't you kids get your pants in a bunch.

So, Slender: The Arrival is set to come out soon. I got the beta today and it's looking a lot niftier than Eight Pages.

If you like watching people freak out at Slender you should watch AttackingTucans, word of warning he swears a lot but it is extremely funny and painful for your ears
I've never played the game because i'd rather not give my nightmares more fuel

This game... xD I have yet to play it, I am too chicken, but my friend Slater said it was awesome. I've seen reaction videos to Slender and I must say I find them very humors.

They're different games: that's the difference.
The Eight Pages was the first installment, the original (a supposedly 'one-shot') Slender game. However, after it was so well-received, it was renamed The Eight Pages, and production started on a sequel, which is set to be released on March 26th; The Arrival.

I've heard of the game Derp Till Dawn, a My Little Pony game about Slendermane. It was made by Donitz and it's actually pretty fun, as you are playing as Derpy Hooves in some forest and have to collect all the pages.
It's an interesting take on the Slender game, definitely worth a try. (If it doesn't work on DeviantART, then there's also a version in the EquestriaGaming arcade)

This game and the creepypasta itself was my thing when I was in middle school. I even drew him on so many pieces of paper. I heard there's a movie that's coming out or has come out.

I was told Mr. Slenderboii has four arms and I thought wait-- that's a GREAT idea! Now my already freaky OC that literally chases people that was birthed from a song about a thing chasing this girl through a forest LOL has four arms too. I named him Sam. (what kills me is that he looks like Garmedon from lego Ninjago)
Slender looks fun and inspirational (yeah I need more ideas for a thing I'm doing for my friend lol) but if I even mention it mom is like nOOOpe
