Yeah, the Ultra games still don't interest me. I'll take a pass.

I HAVE been playing the old games on VC though, because I don't want to wear out my Gameboy. The nostalgia, man!

I got Ultra Moon after most others, I was waiting for a pre-owned version so I could test to see if I would like it, but I haven't finished the games I got lol. I love the Pokemon games, the mystery dungeons are my faves, but I keep finding sometimes I don't have time to finish them. Either way, as much as I like Moon I didn't like the trials they put in that replaced the Gyms. .3.

Well I've noticed I'm actually very into the stories, they are like my childhood honestly lol, and I really want to finish them all someday at least once. However, they seem to make them faster then I can actually have time to finish them. XD

How is Soulsilver and Heartgold btw? I've never gotten a copy of those though I probably should look into them .3.

WHO VOTED THAT THEY HATE POKEMON

Also, I'm at 128 with my pokedex on Ultra Sun. I've been Wonder Trading and stuff just to maybe get pokemon that aren't in my pokedex. Got a lvl. 100 Shiny Charizard with wonder trade. woohoo

I got Ultra Sun when it came out but haven't beaten it because I'm busy with school ;_;
My brother got me Firered! I lost my Firered game, and I'm excited to play it again!

So we got a bunch of information on new Pokemon games today.

Looks like the ones coming out this year (Let's Go! Pikachu/Eevee) are going to be pseudo-remakes of Yellow, combined with some gameplay elements of Pokemon Go. Personally, I HATE everything about GO especially the catching system, so I'll be passing on those games. I know they are just cashing in on my generation's nostalgia for the original games, but this isn't the way to do it. I think implementing ANYTHING from Pokemon GO was a huge mistake, IMO

But we will be getting a main-core game in 2019 (gen 8!?) so that is good.

I have a strange dislike for things that became crazes, but... I think I joined Pokémon GO before the craze, so I don't really have anything against it. I must admit though, Pokémon GO feels more like a side game, a spin-off. I don't really think it should be merged with the core series, though I guess these new Pokémon games aren't entirely core? I think I'd personally class them as games like the Mystery Dungeon series and Pokkén Tournament. It seems that they like to release new games every november, so maybe the generation 8 games will take a little too long to make, and they're using these new games to fill in the gap.

I just want a remake of Sinnoh. Honestly I enjoyed playing Diamond/Pearl/Platinum more than rub/saph/emer.
I've invested way too many hours into my Diamond game.

I think they plan to remake the regions in order, and seeing as they just did Hoenn recently, Sinnoh should be next. Generation 8 is predicted to be released in 2019, so if I had to guess, I'd say Sinnoh remakes could possibly come in 2020-2021, if the current pattern keeps up.

I think it's less "they're remaking the regions in order" and more "they're remaking the GB/GBA series". Sinnoh was on the DS which still makes it semi-modern with it's 3D assets as compared to Red/Blue/Yellow, Silver/Gold, and Hoenn. That's why we're going back to Kanto for Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee instead of going to Sinnoh or Johto.

Ah, that would make sense. I thought the Let's Go games were mainly just so they had something to release while they worked on a much bigger game for generation eight. They're probably also trying to promote both the console games and Pokémon GO by trying to get those who only play one to try the other.

I've almost fallen off the Pokemon wagon for good now, but I still like seeing and following the new Pokemon designs as they come out!
