Re: Wolf bones show environment change

I found this to be extremely interesting. I'm with King though; how can environmental change be seen through wolf bones?

and suppisly now he won`t get re-trailed or whatever you call it.... http://www.mtexpress.com/index2.php?ID=2005122509 What a bummer, no restraining order either. It's a shame Stone has to move now because this whole situation couldn't be resolved. It's probably for the better though since things p...

Re: birds and airplanes

Wow, I knew birds flying into planes (or through the front windshields) could be extremely dangerous but I didn't know they go so far as to shoot them around the perimeter of an airport. I totally agree with Pawnee though, contact your airport and inform them of the use of falconry to scare away bir...

Re: Question!

1. King is right. There's a thread on this forum for this very question and that can be found here: http://www.wolfquest.org/bb/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=942 If you're not a fan of reading there's also a video on it where Dr. Mech talks about why it would be wrong to use the term "Alpha" in a wild pack an...

Re: GREAT NEWS WOLVES HAVE PROTECTION RESTORED

The conservation groups who sued for an immediate injunction against the delisting decision argued that if the three wolf populations fail to interbreed with one another, which they say the state wolf management plans all but ensure, the wolves in and around Yellowstone will suffer genetic degradat...

Re: What is your Ecological Footprint?

it said it would take 4.3 earths for me, and 18.9 global acres. I got the same exact result. My family pretty much eats meat religiously and even if I complain to my parents (Which my brother has done, even if it wasn't for the environments sake), I really have no say in what's for dinner since I'm...

Re: Do you have wolves where you...

Well, they used to have some gray wolves, but some stupid person stuck his/her hand in the pen,and one of the wolves bit him/her. I know the wolf was defending it's territory, but they had to shoot it. Now,there are mexican gray wolves. Just doesn't seem right to replace gray wolves with mexican grays...

Re: Amethyst Mountain Deluxe update boosts performance

I think this one qualifies as a glitch. I was looking for the wolf in the Slough territory and didn't notice it until I was right on it, and I hit the jump button by mistake. Well, that resulted in my wolf impersonating Neo from the Matrix: http://img360.imageshack.us/img360/3267/levi1hg2.png After...

Re: Coyote Lovers, Come here.

Coyotes are awesome. I seriously need to buy a decent camera and get some pictures of them in my neighborhood. Apparently we're having a drought over here so we've been getting a lot of em in town.

Re: Raised by hand - Are those cubs dogs or wolves? Or neither?

They still have all of the behaviors found with wolves-just the change in who receives the behavior (from the hand raised wolf to human rather than hand raised wolf to another wolf in it's pack). They do not lose their fear of humans , which is why it is such a challenge to do it properly and to ge...
