Re: Wolf numbers hold steady at about 100 in Yellowstone Nat
That's great! But, as Spiritpelt pointed out, competition for food in these difficult times may reduce their numbers, which would negatively affect the effort. HOWEVER, we must all remember survival of the fittest; although it's definitely not a good thing that wolves may die, the survivors will be...

Totally failed at keeping up with this topic. x3
Anyway, I like all the ideas that are being shared; I think that they will prove effective methods to getting more people into this program, which of course would be a plus.
And thanks for the buddy!

Re: "APNewsBreak: More Mexican wolves in the wild"
I would have to agree with BlackWarrior. While this is a good thing for the wolf population, there is no telling how the farmers and livestock owners will deal with this. Considering that they probably have not had to deal with the "problem" that they would call wolves, chances are they won't have ...

Re: Wolves Helping Aspens?
You know, I've actually heard of this before. Really I'm not that surprised; aspen trees and wolves are all part of the same ecosystem, and ecosystems tend to fail if one element is removed, in the case of the Yellowstone wolves. I'm glad though that this has been proven - it just shows how much we...

You know, I'm actually surprised to see this information. I had believed for so long that communication and compilcated tactics were key; although I'm glad to see that new information is always surfacing.

Re: Have you ever seen a Wolf?
I have never seen a wild gray wolf, but I have seen them in captivity at a zoo in Virginia. However, I have seen a wild red wolf. My family was driving down a back road, and two adults and a smaller wolf ran across the road in front of us. It was getting dark, and the only reason I saw enough of th...

Re: Wolves off the Endangered List - Good News OR Bad?
I agree with most people when they say nature needs to run it's course. Although, if humans are the ones causing a major decrease in the number of wolves (and other canids) than I think that humans also need to play a part in the repopulation. Considering that humans are a part of nature - as Elite...

Hunting and bears, most definitely.
I don't think I've ever died of starvation, considering there is so much food to be found.

Re: Do genders really matter?
Gender? Ha.
Personally, I think it only matters in Single Player, regarding which gender will become your mate.
And for multiplayer... all it does is really cause problems. It's not like it really matters in terms of your wolf anyway. All it does is make the wolf smaller if it is a female.

Re: most annoying thing your mate on wq has done
The most annoying thing my mate has done so far would be when he tries to bring the pups across the river. He usually stops halfway or drops a pup in the river while I'm crossing with another pup. Normally they're alright, but sometimes they do drown. He also likes to drop the pups near me and forg...

Re: WolfQuest Soundtrack -- Your opinions?
My favorite is the Wolfquest Theme as well, it brings me back to when I first started playing the game, back in 2009.
Ah, the memories....... well, it is also very "bold" to me, if you know what I mean.
