Re: The status of things

A kickstarter is an awesome idea, but if a campaign were to happen, Indiegogo is MUCH better. They have flexible funding; which basically means that however much money is earned, even if the goal isn't reached, goes to the campaign. With Kickstarter, as far as I know, takes the money from unreached ...

Re: The status of things

I think it would be fantastic to be able to possibly fund a new episode with the money gained from the app. It's a really long shot, but I think it's possible. I'm really excited for the app! It's going to be crazy fun to play.

Re: WolfQuest: What You Can Do Beyond the Community

I think that if someone did their college thesis paper on the power of WolfQuest on its community and the world, that would be a fantastic thing to do. Or maybe someone could make a documentary about the journey of making the game. That would be quite an accomplishment. Maybe I'll do that someday. M...

Re: Forum changes

We're all going to miss you, Cana. You and the entire team have helped to educate me, and so many others, about the joys of wildlife and wolves. I will never be able to thank you enough. I still remember the very first time I ever played this game, and...it's a memory I'm never going to lose. There ...

Re: WolfQuest Update

You guys, we can't just give up. There has to be some way we can get the word out about WolfQuest! There's got to be some soul out there, some organization who will give us money! We got funds from the National Science Foundation once, if we get the word out maybe if we're lucky enough it'll happen ...

Re: How would you react to...

A dog fight is the last thing you would want on your hands in a moment like that; especially when a wolf as unhealthy like that could do a lot of health damage to your own dog. The best thing to do would just back away as slowly as possible, and to not let yourself or your dog make direct eye contac...

Re: Question on a specific wolf behavior (video)

Yeah, this doesn't look like it would be aggressive or even courting. Wolves often play with each other, as they are very close to each other (almost like siblings) and while this is not courtship, it could be classified as affectionate, like jokingly punching your sibling in the arm or something of...

Re: How would you react to...

Immediately remove either the alpha or pups from the enclosure and then let them meet and get situated where there is a fence between them. Fathers of pups have been known to be extremely aggressive and will do severe damage to the pups-it's better to separate them and let them interact over a fence...

Re: The world's view on wolves today

I've always lived in a place where most people believe in the stereotypical wolf-lean, mean, and a killing machine. But because I have a best friend who strongly believes in the fact that wolves are not what people think they are, and are beautiful and wonderful creatures, this had me on that belief...

Thanks, Cana! I've been meaning to buy some merch for a while now. And also: I see what you did there with naming the bear toy Bob the Bear. Nice. xD

Re: If multiplayer was removed from WQ...

I'd throw a party. It sounds cruel, but MP is what is causing half of our problems with funding and people quitting in the first place. If we just take that part out of the equation, and leave the forums and SP in, we'd get a lot more members interested in talking to other wolf lovers and WQ players...

Re: What are the most common ways your wolf dies?

I tend to die a lot simply because I forget to eat. Like, I'll be on my way somewhere and I forget to eat before I leave. That especially happens a lot in AM o.o whoops.

Re: WQ Game and Forum Activity - Why The Recent Drop? (GD)

It's not, but a lot of people use it that way. And I'm not really being unfair-Skyrim is just an example of what a lot of WolfQuest players might be turning to as an alternative to this game. It's not because it's better, it's because this game is just at a dead spot right now and Skyrim's improving...

Re: WQ Game and Forum Activity - Why The Recent Drop? (GD)

Just like any business, game, website, etc. WQ's activity will go down depending on the surrounding attractions in online RPGs. It's like at a theme park: Everyone loves the rickety old ride because it's so much fun and there's no other ride like it, but when the Turbo Fast Ride comes in, everyone r...
