Perhaps another example of the UN-educated carrying weapons? You don't just accidentally shoot an animal these days do you?
I agree with Chemuhk on the matter also, quite a low fine seeing as Radio Collars cost about 3 times as much.

Re: "Wolfin' down those turkeys"
From what I know its highly unlikely that any pack of captive wolves would be released into the wild. I think only a few places do that, and even then there would be minimal contact with humans so situations like this would not occur (I don't think). However if they where to be released than yes thi...

Re: Have you ever raised a wild animal?
Unfortunately I have not had the pleasure of doing so. I think a few opportunities aroused in the UK, but my parents insisted it would do more harm to interfere with nature. Raising a wild animal is definitely on my bucket list though!

Re: "The Phantom Wolves of Sun Valley"
While I have not seen the documentary it looks like it will be an interesting watch. Judging by the article it would appear to be very open minded, which (I've found) is something you don't see too often. I shall definitely be looking out for it

Re: "Wolves 'thriving' in Germany "
That's really good news to hear, the article also had an interesting interactive picture. Displaying the population of wolves in Europe. I was quite surprised (and pleased) at how many wolves there actually are in Europe. An interesting read, thank you for posting!

Re: Have you ever seen a Wolf?
Yes. Many times in zoo's and for my 11th Birthday Party (back when I lived in England), my parents took me and some friends down to a Wolf Conservation Trust. We got to walk with 2 of the wolves (I think one of them has since passed), and they jumped up at us and one of them even gave me a half-hug ...

What species of bear has that name? I know that just bear is "Ursur". So if it where say a Polar Bear then it would be "Ursur Arctos" (Arctos I would have thought-does mean arctic).

Re: Coyotes: The True Comparison
We have coyotes where I live, but just up the hill from my house is a far down as they go. We also have bears further up. But Coyotes. Yeah we see them crossing the road sometimes (mostly in winter) we have some good hares lying around. Last year I tried to track one, but I whent on a neighbours la...

Re: Death upon capture
Him... Well to be quite honest I'm not surprised the stress levels get high. It really depends on the situation as to why the animals must be captured. Live handling could work, though I would supposed a drug of some sort would be needed... Again it really depends on the situation at hand.

Re: uk wolf consevation centre
Thats actualy quite a good price. It goes to the wolves right? Well wolves take an awful lot of money and time to look after so.. alot of the people and wolves rely on the money they can get, but they also want it to be relitivly affordable so.. 40

Re: Why Wolves
I spotted a picture of one on a trip to Canada (3 years before I moved) and it was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen. It was at a Native American reserve place (can't remember which). There was alot of wolf stuff and I loved it all, so I whent back to my aunts and found out information how t...
