As far as i know, it's happened before. The Druid pack, which reached enormous proportions in 2002, broke apart. They formed the Druids and the Geodes. Since 2002, the Geode wolves have "died out".

I just found it odd that a wolf would act territorial around a place that isn't his ^-^ Thanks for clearing it up though.

This is lovely news! Hopefully by the time i have children Sibe Tigers will still be around :3 i'd love for my own to be able to see those beautiful cats.

Shows like that always tend to over-exaggerative the problem. Yes, it is horrible for anyone -- human or animal -- to go through, but it isn't all that common. You do see the occasional case of course, but it isn't something you see daily like they want you to believe. i think everyone's heart brea...

Usually in a pack there is at least one other member that stays behind with the pups, but nobody can do everything at once. Pups do end up eaten on occasion, but for the most part they are protected by an adult. Aside from bear attacks, the adult can usually defend the pups without too much trouble...

i don't know a whole lot about wolves, but i'll make my finest guesstimation for this. i think the wolf was passing through, when the dogs started toward it, barking. The wolf most likely retaliated by defending itself in the only way it can -- with a bite. i don't think wolves are completely innoc...
