How do wolves respond to pack mate injury during hunting?
Wolves are always at risk of injury or death when hunting large prey. When a wolf is injured or killed during a hunt with the pack, how do the other wolves respond? I've been trying to dig up some info on this (wish I had Wolves on the Hunt by David Mech) but haven't found much. Will the pack stop h...

Re: A Game for All Seasons
I absolutely love seeing the Amethyst map in winter! It looks gorgeous. There's something so nice about wolves in snow. And it's great how much detail you're putting in regarding the herd migrations! Will we also stop seeing bears roaming around? I also recall that in an old video demoing the new fu...

Re: Ideas for New Episodes/Future Updates
One thing I've noticed makes hunting a little frustrating at times is having no indication of which elk are more weak. I actually like not having the health bars and having to test prey, but it can really whittle away your health as you lose a tick of health here and there. By the time you've tested...

Re: [3.0] Hunting: General Discussion
I agree with TimberRaven! I get way less beat up hunting adult elk and deer. If there isn't an already weaker calf in the herd I'll usually go for an adult. My proudest accomplishment however was probably getting to take down a moose calf!

Re: Aw man (Accurate mode)
Accurate mode is waaay harder than I expected it to be! Took me some error to get it down and I died a few times for sure. Its easy to get caught when you're unlucky, so always play it safe. Never risk fights and abandon hunts if they start to seem like they'll go downhill because getting your healt...

Re: Banff Wolf Destroyed After Attacking Tent
@DaniBeez thanks for the update! I'll admit, based on my experience with how Banff tourists and locals act around wildlife and the vague early articles my first impression was the victim had perhaps tried to lure or interact with the wolf which resulted in the attack. Reading the mother's facebook ...

Re: What weird interactions have you seen between AI animals in WolfQuest 3?
I've actually yet to see most of these interactions but now I'm eager to explore around and see! I would love to see the bear fights. So far I've seen a pack chase a fox off their carcass, and I've also had a hunt interrupted by a pack who proceeded to finish my mule deer off for me!

Re: What's your Wolfquest 3 Mate Like?
I ended up with a bold, energetic and social mate! I can't remember which pack he was from. I wanted a bold mate to match my wolf's personality and boy is he ever tenacious! I can always tell when competitors are nearby because he'll raise his tail and start growling, or if we're in another territo...

Re: Hunting Elk in Wolfquest 3
I'm loving elk hunting so far! Running amongst the stampeding herd is fun and exciting, and I personally haven't found hunting too tricky, it just takes timing and patience and occasionally a bit of risk. Personally I find hunting cows takes a bit less tactic than cows, you just have to take more ca...

Re: Play That Wolfy Music
I love it! Adaptive music systems really amp up the intensity and action of a game, I'm definitely looking forward to this feature! I personally already adore the music in WolfQuest so I'm pretty eager to hear more. The hunting system just keeps getting better and better too.

Re: Ideas for New Episodes V2
hey there I don't have WQ but I have an Idea, take it with a grain of salt though as you can tell I'm a total noob  What if in multiplayer mode you could be a mother wolf or even a pup and eventually grow up...? As part of the raise pups game mode? And how about newborn puppy models? :) Playi...

Re: Multitasking on the Move
The Amethyst Mountain environment is turning out beautifully! I love that new life is being breathed into AM, I'm stoked to explore it. All the subtle details in the terrain and vegetation are gorgeous. The animation mixing also looks fantastic- all the transitions are seamless and look great. It'l...

Re: Our Douglas-firs are Tree-mendous
Aaah I feel like i'm always unreasonably excited for the terrain and foliage videos. They're seriously my favourite updates (and honestly I could listen to Dave talk about vegetation for hours). As everyone has said, they tree models are seriously beautiful! I was amazed by the level of detail with...
