Re: Your WolfQuest Characters

All wolves below were made in WQAE, except Shaden. Drawe: My first wolf in WQAE. I tried making the most adorable wolf I could, but then ended up using a territorial playstyle when I found a tree in a rock and declared it WQAE`s Moon Tree. It was in Wapiti territory, so I had to fend them off and st...

Re: (3.0) Where is your territory?

So far I`ve mostly stuck around the area of the original map and claimed that as my territory. I found a really cool rock den there, at Aspen Heights, that reminds me of a castle and overlooks the original map. Problem is, the area of the original map gets pretty flooded in the spring and swimming c...

My WQAE/WQ3 Pics (WARNING: Image Heavy)

Here`s some screenshots I took of WQAE/WQ3! I might add more screenshots later. There`s links below the images in case they`re not visible on the forum for some reason. Re: Eagle Takeout

Maybe crows or ravens could start yelling if there`s an eagle around? I think crows chase hawks sometimes. The player might not understand the warnings, though, and would maybe pass it off as ambient sounds. Also the eagle screeching might get the player to notice there`s an eagle, but newer players...

Re: Game Goods

I find it really interesting that you all work from home! Thanks very much for making this game and yeah, I hope you`re not all too stressed out, either (although you may have been referring to the coronavirus and other illnesses in general). Remember to do fun things (I think game design is fun, bu...

Re: WQAE has weather on the title screen! :D

Holy cow.. I didn't even know that was possible. I knew we had day/night cycles but never weather . Is this a recent update? I`m not sure.. I just had WolfQuest in the background and when I came back to it there was lightning and rain. I didn`t even know there was a day/night cycle on the title scr...

Re: Raising Hills in Slough Creek

It looks really fun to paint in the heightmap of the hills and add the terrain textures. It also looks really cool and it`s nice that it paints textures for you so you don`t have to hand-draw everything from scratch (which I think can take more time and is harder to do).

Re: WolfQuest, Graphics Cards, and You

I thought my computer was pretty good at running video game graphics. It could run WolfQuest 2.7 at maximum FPS on the fastest setting with vegetation turned to high. It`d start lagging with anything above that, though. It turns out I have an Intel videocard, one of the lowest cards on the chart, lo...

Re: Hunting for the Hardcore

I think different players have different levels of skill, so maybe it wouldn`t quite reflect the odds of successful hunts (for individual players, at least), however I`d think that wolves would also have different levels of skill, so it must still be accurate. I like that you sleep now to restore he...

Re: Zeno's WolfQuest

Maybe the sharp dips in the terrain were caused by something that remolds terrain (like the rivers, for example).

Re: Things to do while your bored on wolf quest

WolfQuest Challenges Don`t Save (DS): (Applies to Slough Creek with Pups in Singleplayer) Only save when you complete a quest, are going to quit playing WolfQuest, and/or the game is stinking out and you need to reload it to fix it. Progression Quest (PQ): You have to __ or kill so and so amount of...

Re: What are you going to do first on WolfQuest 3.0?

I`m gonna use recording software to record what I`m doing so that, a few months or years later, I can go back and see what I did when WQ 3.0 first came out.
And maybe, before that, I`ll play around in WQ 2.5.

Re: opinions on realistic/unrealistic rp

I don`t really join realistic rps and I don`t entirely know why. I think it`s difficult for me to rp in a realistic atmosphere, or perhaps in general because it takes me a while to think of what to do and my mind is incoherent and clouded. I also might worry about doing something wrong to the point ...

Maybe larger herds could have longer names and smaller herds shorter names.
