The Rosamond Gifford Zoo is home to both gray wolves and red wolves. Both exhibits are viewable by the public on the
Wildlife Trail, a half-mile loop around the outside portion of the Zoo.
At the Zoo, all animals receive daily enrichment, which promotes natural behavior in captive animals. Enrichment entails toys, scents, treats, or activities
that are mentally or physically stimulating. Gray wolves and red wolves alike receive enrichment such as deer hides, rabbit carcasses, antlers, "tunasicles,"
and boxes in exhibits with scents inside. During a visit to the Zoo, you may notice some of these items in the exhibits, and animals interacting with them.
