Skinwalker adopted a wolf!!

Postby skinwalker3 » Wed Feb 03, 2010 7:35 am

Ok, so last holiday season, my grandmother adopted a Gray Wolf through the National Wilflife Federation. I was unable to find the exact pictire of my wolf, but I have it on poster at home.

This is the adoption form I got, and if you look at the poster, that is (my grandparents said) the wolf I adopted. I named him Marcus.

EDIT: I just found that each poster is different for each adoption, showing a picture of the wolf you adopted.

Cool! I've done something like that, except with horses.

I don't think pawnee was saying that you didn't adopt the wolf. You don't actually adopt the wolf like you would a dog, therefor you would put emphasis on the 'adopted' part.

Yes in a way you adopted it. But again, not like you adopted a dog. I just want to make this clear so nobody thinks they can go out and get a wolf or wolf hybrid and think it's their pet. When in fact it's a wild animal that doesn't belong in someone's backyard playing fetch.

I am well aware of that. I know wolves are not pets, but I am glad I adopted one.

Congrats on your wolf adoption! :) I've always wanted to do something like that but I've never gotten the chance.

I know...but it cost money...trying to save up for something else at the moment.
I think I was close to adopting an animal before; though don't really know what happened. Perhaps in the near future I'll be able to? :)

My little cousin adopted a Gray Wolf for me through the NWF for Christmas. I was really happy because I had been hoping to get one. It's the $30 package, the one with the cute little reddish-brown wolf. I named her Cherry :D
